Ambiance not food? Walking into this place was like stepping into another world. First off, the smell of sweat and sewage was like…*ding! I’m in China! Secondly, you’re swept away by the funky decor of the place. It was a bit of a mash up, but I think it works for the space. The food was way too salty…and too sweet for my taste…. but other than that, the selection is huge! The menu is literally a novel. You can read the whole history of Shanghai, WITH COLOR PICTURES!, and also order your food! How fantastic. They also have neat “antique” black and white photos hanging on the walls…which lend to the whole….I’m in 1930′s Shanghai….where it was becoming all westernized feel…
